President Joe Biden will be in Portola Valley and then Palo Alto on Friday, May 10, to hold at least two fundraising receptions for his reelection campaign, according to other media outlets.
The first fundraiser will be held at the home of Vinod Khosla, a co-founder of Sun Microsystems and the founder of Khosla Ventures. Tickets to the event range in price between $6,600 and $100,000.
Khosla has given approximately $1.4 million to Democratic campaigns and organizations over the course of this election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Then, Biden is set to stop by a reception in Palo Alto hosted by former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and her husband DCVC Co-founder Zack Bogue, where ticket prices range from $30,000 to $50,000 and Governor Gavin Newsom is also expected to appear.
This is not President Biden’s first visit to the area this year. He previous visited the Peninsula in February to attend a fundraising event in Los Altos Hills, hosted by housing developer Bob Klein, Danielle Guttman Klein and former state Controller Steve Westly.
As of publishing, it is not known when Biden will arrive in the Bay Area, or if he will attend any other events in the region.
Unsurprisingly (given the price) there are still tickets available for the Palo Alto fundraiser
