Palo Alto teachers rally for salary increase to match Bay Area living costs
Nearly 300 teachers and their supporters took to Tuesday’s school board meeting to petition for higher teacher salaries, rallying outside district offices beforehand. The Palo Alto Educators Association hosted the rally to advocate for raises that they say would promote staff retention in the district.

Palo Alto student-led teams showcase creativity at international robotics contest
At approximately 121 pounds and 26 inches tall, covered in red and yellow wires, the robot sat among 10 others in a 53-foot semi-truck en route from the Bay Area to Houston. Named Dino-mike, with an outstretched aluminum mechanism emulating a dinosaur’s head, it was a robotics team’s ticket to Texas.
