UPDATE: By mid-afternoon Wednesday, most power outages had been resolved, according to City of Palo Alto Utilities.

Palo Alto Utilities is assessing numerous power outages reported across Palo Alto Wednesday, the agency stated on X around noon.

“Inclement weather is likely the root cause. Crews are investigating,” the department stated.

The outages appear to be affecting more than 3,000 customers from the College Terrace neighborhood eastward to Duveneck/St. Francis, according to the city’s outage map.

On Sunday, 13 power outages hit the city, with wind gusts causing trees to fall over and damage electrical lines.

  1. Won’t it be great when they ban gas entirely and we all have to sit here freezing in the dark with uncharged cars and cell phones?

Let’s hear it for virtue-signalling and ridiculous “sustainability” targets that ignore the real consequences. Wondering if all that hot air will keep us warm.
