OaxacanKitchenMobile, a Oaxacan street food food truck, will be serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today, Dec. 9, at AOL headquarters in Palo Alto (395 Page Mill Road).

Monday also means food truck night at The Willow’s Market in Menlo Park, 5 to 8 p.m. at 60 Middlefield Road. Check the market’s Twitter for a list of the Dec. 9 participating trucks.

The Wine Room in downtown Palo Alto is hosting a holiday sparkling wine event Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., featuring Oregon-based Argyle Winery. The Wine Room will be pouring a 2010 Argyle Vintage Brut, 2009 Brut Rose and 2009 Blanc de Blancs. Flight cost is $17. RSVP here.

The Lakeside CafĂ© at Mountain View’s Shoreline Lake is hosting its third annual Winter Chestnut Fest from Dec. 14-22. Roast chestnuts over an open fire, purchase paper cones of the imported Italian delicacies and nom on chestnut-inspired and other seasonal food, such as a chestnut-laced soup, persimmon-based items and mulled wine. There’s three sets of scheduled roast times: Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15, from 1-1:30 p.m. and 4-4:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, Dec. 19-20, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.;
Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21-22, from 1-1:30 p.m. and 4-4:30 p.m.
