A Portola Valley man missing since Monday morning was found confused but uninjured in a Redwood City motel, San Mateo County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday morning, April 13.

Peter Boot, 73, was without necessary medicine so he was taken to a hospital for an evaluation. He suffers from a medical condition that may disorient him, sheriff’s officials said.

The Sheriff’s Office had reported Tuesday that Boot left his home around 6:15 a.m. in his silver 2006 Toyota Tacoma without his wallet, cellphone and important medication.

His family is grateful for the community’s support and is now requesting privacy, sheriff’s spokesman Detective Salvador Zuno said.

  1. There was also an “Amber Alert” on the 101 sign near Oregon this morning about a missing person driving a red Nissan Versa. Not the same person? Strange to have 2 in one day.
