Menlo College women’s basketball coach Shannon Shapiro announced the hiring of Kelsey Steinhagen for the coaching staff for the 2017-18 season. Kelsey brings a vast knowledge and experience with her to the Bay Area as she assumes the role of assistant coach for the Oaks next season.

Steinhagen comes to Menlo following her time as the assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Dubuque in Iowa. Kelsey coached at Dubuque from 2013 to 2017.

Prior to working at Dubuque, Kelsey was the assistant at Concordia University Texas from 2010-13.

Steinhagen was a valuable member of the Wisconsin–Stout basketball team. During her time there, she was WIAC conference MVP in 2005-06 and 06-07.

Steinhagen was a Kodak & WBCA All-American first team pick in both seasons. After her collegiate career, Steinhagen played one season of professional basketball in Melbourne, Australia in the WNBL.
