■ Art: ‘Extreme Makeover’

Tomorrow (Dec. 15), the Cantor Arts Center opens a new ongoing exhibition of art from the 1950s to the present, in its “reinstalled” contemporary gallery. Works include new acquisitions and pieces that have been off view, with sculptures and paintings by Manuel Neri, Frank Lobdell, James Weeks and other artists. ■ Theater: ‘Madeline’s Christmas’

The Palo Alto Children’s Theatre presents “Madeline’s Christmas” tomorrow (Dec. 15) at 7 p.m. Other performances are also scheduled for Dec. 16, 17, 18 and 19, at various times at 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.
