A CAT'S TICKET HOME . . . Microchip your cat and receive a free cat collar and ID tag at the Peninsula Humane Society's "Bring 'Em Home Safe" clinic. For $7, the microchip, a painless, permanent form of identification, can be purchased at the community outreach clinic noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Pet Place in Menlo Park. BEHIND THE SCENES . . . Trained docents lead free public tours through major areas of Stanford University Hospital and discuss the history of the medical center, general information about services and treatment provided, the art collection and the gardens. Tour groups are scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. Tour groups can be arranged upon request. For more information about taking a tour, call 723-7167.
