Susan Sutton Halford
Susan Sutton Halford, 63, a resident of Atherton, died July 25 of cancer. She was a member of the Junior League, the Francisca Club and the Menlo Circus Club. A graduate of the Hamlins School in San Francisco, she attended the University of Nevada and the University of New Mexico, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William W. Halford Jr., of Atherton; four daughters; and three grandchildren. Donations may be sent to University of California, c/o U.C. Franklin Albert Weinert
Franklin Albert Weinert, 39, a native of Palo Alto, died July 25 of cancer. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette "Kitty" Weinert of Palo Alto; his parents, Robert and Betty Weinert of Palo Alto; two daughters; a son; two sisters; two brothers; his grandmother; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held July 31 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto.
Esther R. Willmott
Esther R. Willmott, 82, died July 21 at Stanford Medical Center after a short illness. She was a registered nurse with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Menlo Park. A native of Kennett, Mo., she lived in Menlo Park for 45 years.
