TENNIS CHAMPS . . . It has been quite a year for the Sacred Heart Prep boys' tennis team. The Gators won their first-ever Central Coast Section Division II team championship by knocking off rival Menlo in the title match and advanced to the NorCal tournament and reached the semifinals before falling to Alameda. Sacred Heart Prep capped its historic season last week when sophomore Andrew Davison teamed with freshman Jamie Hutter to capture the CCS doubles title at Imperial Courts in Aptos. Hutter and Davison, the No. 1-seeded team, knocked off the No. 2-seeded tandem of Pat Brogan and Chase Huebner of Los Gatos, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Huebner had helped Los Gatos win the past two CCS doubles titles in addition to contributing to the Wildcats' CCS Division I title and second straight NorCal championship. Menlo's tandem of Alex Kaufman and Mark Keegan reached the semifinals before falling to Brogan and Huebner.
