WHAT: 2003 USA Senior and Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships
WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, June 19-22
WHERE: Cobb Track and Angell Field on the Stanford University campus
WHO: Most of America's finest senior and junior track and field athletes, including 2002 U.S. leaders like Tim Montgomery (100), Darvis Patton (200), Alvin Harrison (400), David Krummenacker (800 and 1500), Meb Keflezighi (5,000 and 10,000), Allen Johnson (110 HH), James Carter (400 IH), Jeff Hartwig (pole vault), Savante Stringfellow (long jump), Adam Nelson (shot put), Adam Setliff (discus), Breaux Greer (javelin), Walter Davis (triple jump), Tora Harris (high jump), Tom Pappas (decathlon); Jearl Miles Clark (400), Nicole Teter (800), Suzy Favor Hamilton (1500), Marla Runyan (5,000), Deena Drossin (10,000), Gail Devers (100 hurdles), Stacy Dragila (pole vault), Tisha Waller (high jump), Grace Upshaw (long jump), Yuliana Perez (triple jump), Anna Norgren-Smith (hammer), Serene Ross (javelin), Kris Kuehl (discus), Teri Steer (shot put), Sandra Glover (400 hurdles), and Sheila Burrell (heptathlon).
WHAT'S AT STAKE: The top three finishers in each Senior event will earn berths on the U.S. team that will compete at the World Track & Field Championships, Aug. 22-31, in Paris, providing the athletes obtain the necessary qualifying mark.
TV: Saturday, June 21 from 1-3 p.m. (PDT) by NBC (live); Sunday, June 22 from 1-2:30 p.m. by ESPN2 (live)
TICKETS: 4-day Gold package ($120), Silver package ($80) and Bronze package ($50). On June 19, single-day seats are $25 (Gold), $15 (Silver) and $10 (Bronze). On June 20-June 22, individual tickets are $35, $25 and $15.
