Fill the Bag and Feel the Joy
Hewlett-Packard is encouraging people to donate non-perishable foods to Second Harvest Food Bank. Start a food drive at work, school or faith community. Donate powdered milk, peanut butter, tuna, pasta, meals in a can, cereal, fruit juices in single serving boxes, canned foods with pop-top lids. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Research
Benefit Christmas concert by the Foothill Orchestra, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. Smithwick Theater, Foothill College. Proceeds above costs go to the Alzheimer's Association and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Tickets: $10 general, $8 senior/student. Call (650) 948-4444.
Christmas Toy Give-Away

Family and Children's Services
Through Dec. 24, kids, families and pets can participate in fund raising and get their picture taken with Santa at the same time. Gift Tree
Choose an ornament from Unity Palo Alto Community Church's gift tree. The ornaments have information of a person at Haven House, Lytton Gardens or an anonymous Unity family member in need. Ronald McDonald House
Complimentary gift-wrapping from House volunteers at Stanford Shopping Center, through Dec. 24. Invitation to make a donation. Last year raised $15,000 for the House, helping children and their families through catastrophic illness.
UNICEF
Great gifts and giving to children all over the world. Proceeds from UNICEF items go to aid to children programs in 138 countries.
