Title dreams end for Palo Alto Knights in national playoffs

The dream was to bring home a first-ever national title and send retiring coach Mike Piha out as a winner. That's what the Palo Alto Knights' Jr. Midgets were hoping to do this week at the American Youth Football National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla.

Once again begs the question. Why go to Florida when the bengals from vacaville scraped you a few weeks ago? You can't be first in the nation when you ain't first in NORCAL homies. Should've saved the Florida money and bought a NorCal trophy like the one the VV Bengals have for two years straight. The one you tried to claim you already had before playing dem bengals memba?

Nice work. Being #1 sounds cool but being among the top teams in the country is something to be very proud of. As my son says, it's not that they are such great athletes but rather that they memorize dozens of play variations and all play together well as a team. Great work by the Knights and also their competition.
