California spent millions to boost COVID vaccination rates of Medi-Cal members — but they lag even more

Once enrolled, a member is in fee-for-service Medi-Cal until "x" (whatever arbitrary date the State allows them to remain in fee-for-service). On the chart above there is NO category for fee-for-service Medical beneficiaries, or Medicare beneficiaries. It's like they don't even exist. Or, if we do, we are among the fabled "general population" mentioned above. If the state was waiting for everyone in Mandatory Managed Care to jump off the ledge like lemmings to get vaccinated, many people like me got all of their vaxxing needs fulfilled BEFORE being forced into sub-par healthcare, a.k.a. "Mandatory Managed Care". Remember the promise of the ACA that "you can keep your doctor"? Not with Medi-Cal. They dictate your primary care and you have to go begging to see a specialist (which can take months) and it will likely not be a specialist you've ever seen before. The "good news" (if there's any such thing about MMC) is the state is raking in BILLIONS of dollars by delivering this disaster. Study capitation rates. That's the name of the game, and it's the way the state is making money by denying people with chronic or disabling conditions the good health care they used to get before being dumped by the State's fiscally driven (not healthcare driven) operatives who figured how to use the ACA to make billions of dollars at the expense of people's lives. The less people use it, the more money the state rakes in. And that's why they want more members. It's a big money maker. Phew. That's quite a stretch, to show the chart above is leaving out a segment of Medi-Cal beneficiaries who may "have it" but may be "avoiding it like the plague". Pun intended.

The more data that comes out, despite big pharma’s desire to hide it for 75 years, the happier I am with my decision.

Speaking of Palo Alto. There is not a single private therapist in Palo Alto who accepts medical ! The have’s and halves into quarters into zip, nothing.

This does not make sense as anyone with a current MediCal card can go to any retail pharmacy to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
