Palo Alto delays new contract for rail redesign

The city has yet to begin reconstruction work on its four rail crossings, but it has already spent close to $3 million on consultants to figure out what exactly the work should entail.

This question has been answered a couple times in past incarnations of this story. It is not very visible in the photo here that you are looking at, but check page 37 of the "Final Report" at this link Web Link
It's on the left side of the apparent center median wall.

Palo Alto simply cannot and will not do anything in a timely manner. I know this is a particularly complicated issue, but dragging it on and on is definitely the Palo Alto way.
