Two Redwood City men were arrested Friday, April 11, after allegedly committing multiple burglaries on the Peninsula, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in the 700 block of Nash Avenue in Menlo Park at about 1:10 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived, a resident told them that someone entered the home between 8 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. and stole several computers as well as electronics and jewelry, according to police.

The officer learned that the stolen items were in the area of Buckingham Avenue and El Camino Real in Redwood City.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located two suspects who were in possession of a large amount of stolen property in a vehicle, police said.

Police said the stolen items were from burglaries that occurred in Menlo Park, and unincorporated Redwood City and Palo Alto. Menlo Park Police Department spokeswoman Nicole Acker said Monday that one item included a check that belongs to a Palo Alto resident.

Officers arrested Guadalupe Gallegos, 32, and Javier Lopez-Wiltron, 33, both of Redwood City.

Gallegos and Lopez-Wiltron were booked into jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. Lopez-Wiltron was also booked on suspicion of possession of narcotic paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Menlo Park police are working with other agencies to determine the owners of the stolen property.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Menlo Park police at 650-330-6300 or anonymously at 650-330-6395.
