Caltrain trains are running behind schedule this morning after a vehicle was stalled on tracks in Palo Alto, according to spokeswoman Christine Dunn.
A car was stuck on the tracks at a crossing at Alma Street/Palo Alto Avenue from around 5:45 a.m. until it was removed by a tow truck at around 6:30 a.m., Dunn reported.
The car was not hit by a train and no one has been injured, Dunn said.
North and southbound trains were held at stations while the car was removed and are running between 30 minutes and an hour behind schedule.
Police were investigating how the car happened to stall on the tracks.
What kind of car was it? Who was driving? Is the driver cooperating with the investigation or did they flee the scene?
