New Palo Alto PD HQ Broken Into

Original post made by qq, Barron Park, on Jul 20, 2007

I man with a truck had been found stealing building supplies and tools early this morning from the new Palo Alto PD HQ construction site.

Building materials, especially copper pipe and wiring can be turned into quick cash. The price of copper has skyrocketed in recent years due to worldwide demand, especially from China and the falling US dollar.

Coinflation is a websites that tracks the current melt price of currencies and copper thefts.

He and his truck were being taken to the current PAPD HQ downtown.

Even Feng-Shui says that this New Police HQ site is not blessed.
Quit it while we are on high ground.

So the cops can't even guard their own hen house. Why should they, us tax payers will pay for everything that goes missing.

You may not have voted on the bond issue yet. But the PD already have their hearts set on it. ;-)

I haven't heard anything about a decision regarding a new site for the Police Department. In any event, I know the residents need to vote on that issue. Where is it?

PAPD doesn't own the land yet, and there doesn't appear to be any construction storage there.

Maybe the theft was at 195 Page Mill (old industrial buildings will be demolished for new 150,000 SF 3 story office/apartment complex)?
