Zumot sentenced to 33 years to life

Bulos "Paul" Zumot, convicted of the Oct. 15, 2009, murder of his girlfriend Jennifer Schipsi, has been sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder and 8 years for aggravated arson. ==B Related stories:==

Good job, jury! Let's hope that the sentence is appropriate to the heinous nature of the crime.

Wow -- what a spectacle! It doesn't bode well for the man when he attacks the judge and accuses him of "corruption."

Even if he were "innocent" of murder (and I personally don't believe that he is), he should have remained civil and allowed the system to play itself out. He shouldn't have robbed the families of the opportunity to address him in an open court.

This whole situation is a terrible tragedy. I can only feel the pain of all of those who are in the middle of this nightmare.
