An Historic Presidential Debate of Great Comminicators?

Original post made by Jeremy, Evergreen Park, on Jan 4, 2008

There have been various good communicators that have contested for the presidency, but do we a very rare circumstance here, with both Obama and Huckabee? Both of these guys can bring it, big time. Is this Lincoln/Douglas of our age? Could we have a no-holds-barred,
no notes, no coaching, no spinning, no media managed, open debate between the two of them? Just the two of them on the stage with two microphones?

For my entire life (I am 62), I have never thought that such a thing could happen again, but I now think it is possible. Am I wrong?

Jeremy,

I like that idea! If those two are the final candidates, that is exactly what should happen. It might be quite an event.
