I agree... Honestly, I didn't expect to be so moved by this excellent play. If you can attend on Sat. night 1/26/13 - the playwright Jane Anderson will join the cast for a post-show talkback. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT... in fact, I'm seriously thinking of going again. Very strong performances, deft direction and good writing with a good dose of humor, intellect and drama make this show an inspiring, poignant and thoroughly entertaining evening. The play and characters get increasingly interesting as the drama unfolds. I once met a person who explained to me exactly why they felt they needed a gender re-assignment and this play captured this dilemma spot on - and the pain such a decision causes a family. It doesn't matter what your gender, sexual orientation or beliefs are, this play will make you laugh, shed a tear and empathize with all the characters. SEE IT and I believe you will be changed for the better! The only real critique I could offer was that I'm not convinced that the decision not to include any music to set the mood was the best one... I think it made the sounds of the actors getting into place between scenes a little odd and at least in the very beginning might have drawn the audience in a little faster...
