Enrico Fermi Award for Burton Richter, former SLAC director

Nobel Prize winner Burton Richter, director of the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) in Menlo Park from 1984 to 1999, and Mildred S. Dresselhaus are winners of the Enrico Fermi Award, one of the government's most prestigious awards for scientific achievement.

Leave it to Walter to inject his negative comments about a Nobel Prize winner winning a prestigious award. I guess some people are jealous of others that actually accomplish something in life. What would have been funny would have been Walter getting an award for bravery in the military.
