Where are the Children's Theater Travelers Checks?

Original post made by Outside Observer, another community, on Sep 2, 2008

The Children's Theater Fiasco is now history.

Pat Briggs retires with dignity and then stays on as a consultant to train a new director.

Rich Curtis is back in his job, as is Allison Williams.

Michael Liftin (R.I.P.) is beyond all of this now.

So, where are the Travelers Checks? Have they been cashed? If so by whom, and where did the money go? Does the PAPD still have them? If so why?

Seems to me that they should be returned to the purchasers. The criminal investigation failed and is over. The checks are personal property. If the City still has them or has somehow cashed them I have to ask who is really the criminal?

Why should a resident of another community care where the checks are?

Thank goodness the Palo Alto Children's Theater chooses to enroll and work with children from other communities. Imagine what an inbred mess it would be if only genuine Palo Alto youngsters were allowed to participate.

Perhaps that resident of another community has a child involved with the troupe, LD.
