A new farmers market is now at Woodside Elementary School on Sundays through December, from noon to 4 p.m. Offerings include organic produce, free-range eggs, fair-trade coffee, nuts and nut butters and gluten-free baked goods.
[Web Link Exhibit: 'From Fiber to Fabric']
The Museum of American Heritage's free exhibit on the history of the textile production in the United States continues through Aug. 18, with vintage spinning wheels, fabrics, quilts and other items. The museum is open Friday through Sunday at 351 Homer Ave. in Palo Alto.
[Web Link Music: 'Everything You Wanted to Know About Jazz']
Stanford Jazz founder Jim Nadel, a saxophonist, presents a workshop with several other musicians on answering people's common questions about jazz. The event is at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, in Campbell Recital Hall at the Braun Music Center on the Stanford University campus.

the stanford jazz festival has been going on for quite a long time. these look to be events that are worth going to see. what would palo alto be like without the stanford campus being so near?
