There will also be thousands of cars trolling all neighborhoods within 2 miles of campus looking for free parking as well as thousands of drunks trying to drive home after the game. Residents are advised to stay off the streets starting at 2pm.

How is this different from a Stanford football game? Answer, it's not. So the comment of drunks roaming the streets is probably coming from one of the silly baby boomers that Palo Alto is so terribly infected with.

I work at Stanford 6 days/week. Such things are a royal PAIN for me, because it makes it so hard to get off the campus. Sometimes, it takes me 2 or mor hours to get home on a Saturday evening, .when it only takes me 10 minutes to get there on a Saturday morning.

Stanford needs to do the city of PA a favor and get a grip on better traffic control!!!!!!!

[Portion removed.] I would suggest avoiding the stadium areas the 10 or so Saturdays a year when there are games. There are other exits from campus. Perhaps you should try one of those instead.
Do you think that you do not have the same issues after giants and 49er games at their locations? Traffic is controlled quite nicely by Stanford, but given PAs propensity to complain only the complete lack of use of the stadium will satisfy some ( but I bet you palo alto loves all the money the game attendees spend) .
