Palo Alto's graduations come early this year

Are the schools meeting the state mandated requirements for minimum number of days attended per year?

Historically, PAUSD has exceeded the state requirements for number of attendance days ( much to the consternation of the students). The school year did not start earlier than usual, so how is the district getting away with ending it early? Was PAUSD given an exception this time, because of exceeding the minimums in past years?

Meet the requirements - PAUSD started school a week earlier this year than in previous years, students attend classes 180 days, the same as the two previous years.
