Police: Reported gunshot noises were likely fireworks

About 10 loud bangs that Palo Alto residents heard and reported to police on early Friday morning were likely fireworks, police Sgt. Dan Pojanamat said.

There were a lot of bangs last night that were probably fireworks.

It is graduation season and then of course the build up to July 4. We will be getting these for the next month at least.

I never heard the bangs but I sure heard the sirens.

Did the police buy new types of sirens? These were quite different.
