Good to know that neighbors were proactive about these incidents. Hopefully it won’t happen again. Interesting that these incidents result in a whole article yet here in East Palo Alto, where many of us have had to hit the floor, similar incidents and worse don’t earn the same coverage.

This was a wedding? Keep it classy Palo Alto. Unless you're renting to Ladies Bible class or over 85 - no alcohol... good luck. Any event where alcohol is served, there are consequences.

How could there be no arrests or even a police report? A guy pulls a gun during a fight in public? They were certainly taught a lesson!

Women’s Club may need to raise their membership standards.

Your Neighbor asks some good questions. Where were the police and the police report? And the "management" of The Women's Club for that matter.

Where were the police? The police showed up and broke up the fight. When you rent out, especially if alcohol is involved, you have someone from your organization on the premises. This happens all the time, and you have to use good judgment. Be proactive, not reactive.
