Fireworks out of control. Sad statement on our local community. I feel so sorry for the law abiding hard working folks of EPA. I hear it here in CP, can't imagine what is like in EPA. It used to start around July 4th, then mid-June , now it's pretty much all of May, June, July. Who launches fireworks at 2am, 4am?

How's this for a choice of words.......
Uncouth, ill- bred, inconsiderate, rude, uncivilized, discourteous, disrespectful, uncalled for, impolite, tactless, thoughtless and ill-mannered!!
Shall I continue?
I live in East Palo Alto and the fireworks at all hours of the day and night are relentless and disturbing to say the least! My poor dog is terrified and doesn't even want to come outside to walk. And just when I've coaxed her from under the couch someone sets off another m80 and my dog retreats back under the couch not to be seen again for at least another hour! It is ridiculous! I am all for allowing people to celebrate holidays but we have to be respectful and limit it to just holidays.
Something really needs to be done about this. And just when you think they've run out of fireworks and it's over, it starts right back up again @ 0300!!!
I wish people would be a little more considerate.

I hope this comment finds its readers well!

In regards to the fireworks issue, it seems simple enough that a resident either hearing or seeing illegal fireworks being discharged in their immediate vicinity would contact the EPA police department who in turn would investigate matters in a timely manner and make the appropriate arrests/confiscations.

Is the PD response time too slow or are they ignoring these calls?

And are calls to the PD involving these matters considered non 911 and referred to as police business calls?

Lastly, are there gunshots being discharged as well?

Fireworks are being let off already and it is still May. Last summer every night for about 2 months we would hear fireworks often before it was even dark!

Looking at Nextdoor, people are thinking they are gunshots and reporting them as such to police.

The illegal fireworks are sourced either from out of state or Tijuana.

There are some well-stocked arsenal in this town and everyone finds something to celebrate about.

It's not just limited to New Years or the 4th anymore.
