Newsom wants extra $600 stimulus for low-wage Californians

Gov. Gavin Newsom has proposed a $600 stimulus for low-income Californians. He also wants to extend the state's eviction moratorium, which is currently set to expire Jan. 31.

So unfortunate that the proposal is for folks who receive the EIC, punishing low wage workers who live in the bay area and get paid "more" even though COL is so much higher.

Giving money to illegals is enabling. If he's going to give it to people making less than 30K, he should include SS and disability recipients, as well as anyone making less than 30K - even if they made zero. Not just low wage workers that claimed EIC on their taxes. If your income in California is less that 30K, you could use the money.
