Gunn seniors end with first CCS girls water polo title

Gunn senior co-captains Isobel Taylor and Cooper McKenna will savor the experience of winning the Central Coast Section Division I girls water polo tournament but that may not be the highlight of their high school water polo careers.

As a parent, I could not be more grateful and proud of this team. Cooper is a class act and Kate is a fearless Athlete. My wish is for the water polo program to get the same support other sports get.

All sports should get equal support. If that is not the case, take it up with the AD and then the principal, and then the board. If girls sports are getting slighted, it's a Title IX issue. If some sports are getting better treatment than others it's an AD issue. You can also talk with the Gunn Sports Boosters.

Hopefully, someone will address the issue. I do know that wishing online that it gets changed will not work.
