'Enrique Chagoya: Detention at the Border of Language' on view at Coulter Art Gallery

A survey of paintings, drawings, prints, and multiples by artist and Stanford University professor Enrique Chagoya are on view at the Coulter Art Gallery.

The image above was printed at sharks ink studio in Lyons Colorado near Boulder where Enrique’s most infamous work was created.
A woman drove several hours to Lyons Colorado and attacked Enrique’s work with an ax. Maybe we should let him work through his trauma by lending him the Stanford Axe and symbolically bless all the works in this show.
I also think it’s ironic to contrast the stereotype portrait of Ike the sandwich guy with this thingy; Better, there should be a sandwich named for Enrique Chagoya.

Actually correct me if I’m wrong but the work pictured above seems to be a collaboration with his wife Kara Maria.
