Menlo College women wrestlers earn school's first national title

Original post made on Feb 10, 2019

For the first time in school history, Menlo College can claim a national champion. The Oaks' women's wrestling team turned a lot of hard work, personal sacrifice and desire into a WCWA national title, along with three individual champions and nine All-Americans; Palo Alto grad Sara Aguilar among them.

IMPRESSIVE..... takes a lot of time and energy just to medal in leagues and be varsity on a wrestling team. Sadly in wrestling this rarely is luck involved :-----). You have to earn it.
At the beginning of most sports they say PLAY ball or similar. Or the game is played. Before a wrestling match starts. They say: WRESTLE. Thus no play in wrestling.
CONGRATS to Menlo College woman wrestlers and their coaching staff and team wrestlers to achieve this fabulous title of National Champions!

@ OK for some is a registered user.

Do you have any knowledge about what you are talking about? Do you know any female wrestlers? Maybe you should educate yourself and go talk with the Menlo College Women's team. I'm sure they'd love to talk to you. Or, go to any of the local high school programs with girls wrestling.

Are you saying that aggression makes you less feminine?

Everything is not "OK nowadays". It is definitely not OK to judge people you know nothing about based on a stereotype. Guess the women should all tend to their men and stay in the kitchen with their curlers on.

For the record, I am neither female, nor a wrestler, but old-fashioned/narrow-minded views of the world have no place in society.

Ok for some....
You are simply ignorant........
1) have you ever seen a in shape woman wrestler.
Lordy, little make up, regular clothing on and you have a movie star!

2) what is wrong with you? Woman's basketball, tennis, softball is
more feminine? What games/matches are you watching LOL....

3) you ever get into a tussle with someone, you will be thanking god
almighty if one of these Menlo women wrestlers comes to your assistance. Obviously you have not participated in an athletic competition since 3rd grade kickball or hopscotch. Opening and closing the fridge does not count as athletic completion either hahahahahahahaha
