Many residents of Channing House knew that their personable executive chef, Ghazwan Alsharif, made delicious moussaka and baklava. Some even knew where he came from — Iraq.

Congratulations on living your truth Ghazwan Alsharif. Middle Eastern here and have a 23 year old bisexual son that has had many of my family turn on him. I love him and support him 100%. I'll be sure to share this article and documentary with him.

Very brave man. The majority of the Middle East is very hostile towards gays. Iraq and Iran both. Hoping the best for him.
