Thanks for leaving out Los Altos High School. There are still some parts of Palo Alto that attend this school.

That's a good point. These kinds of community celebrations are touchpoints - please don't leave out students who belong in our graduate recognitions, Weekly!

Another group of forgotten kids is homeschool and independent study. How about simply putting out an annual call for graduates from those communities? You could start with the major local programs which have Palo Alto students: Ocean Grove, Connecting Waters, COIL, even ask San Jose Homestudies if you are going to include Bellarmine, also in San Jose. Often people continue these programs for better customizing a child's education, but many are already feeling excluded from the school community. It would be a wonderful gesture to remember these students are there, too.

Don't miss out on the discussion!

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 29 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $9 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
