Palo Alto police are looking for an 84-year-old man who went missing from Stanford Hospital Monday afternoon after he was discharged.

Martin Tannian, Jr. was last seen walking out of Stanford Hospital at 300 Pasteur Drive shortly after 1:30 p.m., police said.

He is described as a white man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 210 pounds, according to police.

Tannian, who uses a walker, was wearing a neon green T-shirt with an open khaki sweater and dark pants, police said.

He had been discharged from the hospital and was waiting for a ride to his Sunnyvale home but was never picked up, according to police.

Police have released to the public photos of Tannian captured Monday from the hospital’s surveillance system and his old identification card.

Anyone who sees Tannian is asked to call 911 and keep an eye on him until officers arrive.
