I love Don very much. He was an amazing man. He touched all he met with kindnss and grace. He was also a follower of the Indian Saint Amma and attended programs every weekend at MA center in San Ramon. He did volunteer work there for the center and Amma's numerous charities. He also
visited Amma in India and volunteered at her schools there.
It is sure from Dons good actions in this life that he is in a good place now. His gentle caring manner will be missed.

I met Don 15 years ago at the Foundry's parent group. He was well respected for his gentle introspection and acceptance of others. His love of nature was shown when he taught middle school students how to garden. I'm honored that much of his handiwork is right outside my classroom door.
I hope that someone will post information about memorial arrangements for Don. There are many friends from the Foundry and Sunnyvale School District who would like to help honor Don's life, work and spirit.

Don will be remembered by all who knew him for his tireless service to anyone in need who happened to cross his path. However, you had to really pay attention because he hid all his compassionate acts behind his quiet humble demeanor. Truly a silent saint in our midst! He will be dearly missed. His soul has surely reached a very high place.

Don was a dear friend with many dimensions. He helped introduce me to Amma. I loved running into him on local hikes; always the best of surprises! We also shared interests in political action and common east coast roots. i will miss him and think of him especially on "the dish."
