I was at Stanford Shopping Center this evening and saw three Palo Alto police cars parked behind Neiman Marcus for close to an hour (could have been longer). They were there to arrest what appeared to be a single shoplifter. Just wonder why they felt the need to have three patrol cars to arrest a shoplifter and wonder what kind of force that left to be patrolling the rest of Palo Alto during that time?
