It's a great neighborhood indeed - and there are jewels of midcentury modern everywhere here - but the single biggest threat to this neighborhood is the encroachment of buyers that don't see the beauty of living in the open style of these homes and are putting up Macmansions with greater frequency. Ugly or not - is anyone's opinion, but the town does nothing to establish some sense of proportion and respect for the look and feel when approving these things. These homes were designed to have big open windows to let the outside in, open sky and views of green trees, now being replaced by neighboring second story windows that look into our homes and yards.
