yes,but ''marijuana'' didnt have anything to do with it. if he was in possesion of candy bars would you criminalize candy bars?no, well candy bars contain peanuts sometimes which can be fatal to some allergics. they want to blame ''marijuana'' in some way. its futile to those who know the truth.

This is a sad story. No doubt police have enough evidence to throw the book at Alex if they want to, and make it stick. He is probably costing hundreds of thousands of dollars within the legal system. It would seem a shame for no one to make an effort to give him a chance to end this pattern while he is still young. The easy way out is for everyone to jump on him and make it impossible for him to do anything else.

"Guevara, who is on active probation in Santa Clara County for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of concentrated cannabis and possession of a weapon on a school campus, was also booked for a felony violation of that probation."

I feel more sorry for his victims. People his age know the difference between wrong and right.

He belongs in jail. The Bay area is full of nonsense rehabilitation programs to keep younger criminals out of jail. When they get someone with a drug conviction and on probation they take them to rehab, which has a success rate of 12%.
Palo Alto is in the middle of a crime wave, send the criminals to jail.

I don't feel sorry for this one, lock him up and throw away the key. People need to take responsibility for their actions, do the crime do the time. This young man knew what he was doing, knew what the consequences would be if he got caught. Didn't care if the victims lost anything, he saw something he wanted and just took it.

We should send him to jail, but give him forced job training. If he had a way of making legal money, he wouldn't be burglarizing cars. He was looking for easy money. We can change this cycle of criminal behavior.
