Gunn's Robinson wins state title in 1600 after leaders fall

Sarah Robinson received her graduation present a week late, but the Gunn grad will gladly take it after winning the girls' 1,600 meters at the CIF State Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis.

Congratulations to all the great achievements by local athletes in track and field. I ran track for Cubberley High School back in the Sixties and I remember well the great impact of sport, competitiveness, and rewards that track and field can bring. Kudos to all the participants and victors!
