In 1970 (during the Jim Plunkett era), Allen Meredith won the Pac-8 Triple Jump championship setting a new Stanford Triple Jump record that held for 44 years until Darien Brooks won the Pac-12 Triple Jump championship (for the 2nd time in 44 years) yesterday. A huge congratulations! Darien surpassed his best distance by over 2 feet on his final jump and beat the 2nd place jumper by 17 inches, where Meredith beat the competition by 15 inches over second place.

Darien Brooks has a great future at Stanford over the next couple of years!
