Will Barack dump him, in time for the election? Personally, I don't think Obama has the intestinal fortitude to do it, but his kitchen cabinet in Chicago will not have such sensitivities.
How long before Biden gets the axe? Put back in chains?

Biden will not be replaced. End of story.
When will the GOP replace the loser Romney. Look at the polls. Romney is being massacred in the electoral vote count, paticularly the swing states. From another thread, numbers from composite polls at Real Clear Politics:
Settled red/blue states give Obama a significant lead of 237 to 191 with 110 in tossups, MOST of the 110 leaning to Obama.
Battlegrounds Obama Romney RCP Average
Ohio 47.8 43.8 Obama +4.0
Virginia 47.4 44.2 Obama +3.2
Florida 47.0 45.6 Obama +1.4
Iowa 45.3 44.3 Obama +1.0
North Carolina 47.3 48.3 Romney +1.0
Colorado 46.6 45.4 Obama +1.2
Nevada 49.3 44.0 Obama +5.3
Missouri 42.5 48.8 Romney +6.3
Wisconsin 49.8 44.4 Obama +5.4
Michigan 48.3 42.0 Obama +6.3
Pennsylvania 49.3 42.3 Obama +7.0
New Hampshire 48.3 44.8 Obama +3.5
Romney is getting killed. This is a GOP disaster in the making. They ran the wrong guy, and he picked the wrong guy. Ryan is the worst GOP pick ever, except Quayle and Palin.
Republicans have a week to come up with a new team.
The Ryan Romney team is losing by over 100 electoral votes - it's getting near landslide time. Pick a new nominee, GOP, or cry in your Dom Perignon in November.
"Former Gov. Doug Wilder, D-Va., who was first black governor in the country, denounced Biden’s remark. “First of all it’s divisive and certainly uncalled for,” Wilder told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto. “We all know [Biden is] gaffe prone, but . . . slavery is nothing to joke about!”"
Time for Joe to go.
Don't you just love it when the Republicans use the quotes of an African-american to try to justify their whining. The rest of the time the republicans hate women, gays and minorities.
But wasn't it Romney who first used the slavery analogy with his "unshackling" comment? Why no complaints about him? After all, we are all aware of the history of his church and black people.
Why no comnplaints about the endless vitriol directed at Obama because of his race over the years? Could it be the well known Republican double standard. Seems that Romney can not take the heat--he had no problem dishing it out during the republican primiraies. But it looks like now poor Mitty has had his feelings hurt--he is constantly whining about something a democrat said. How sad.
"GIULIANI: Well, I think if it came from somebody serious maybe we’d get all excited about it. But the — I think the vice president of the United States has become a laugh line on late night television. I mean, he — I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. I mean, there’s a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright. He’s never been bright. He isn’t bright. And people think, ‘Well, he just talks a little too much.’ Actually he’s just not very smart."
Now John is using quotation from Guiliani????? How amusing.
Guiliani--the man who was seen running away from the Twin Towers area on 9/11 while his fireman were being killed because he would not okay the use of radio communication on a single band for boith police and fireman? Guiliani--the man who put his emergency headquarters in an area the he knew might be a traget for terrorists. Guilini is the man who has made millions of dollars exploiting the events of 9/11 to fatten his bank account. We all know about Guiliani and his feelings for minorities from his dictatorship in New York. If I were him, I would not talk about mental capacity. This is a man who the republicans repudiated as a presidential candidate in 2008. This is a man who faked an illness to withdraw froma senate race against Hillary Clinton because he was getting beaten badly. So, I am not sure I would rely on what he had to say. Guiliani saying that someone is not that smart is hilarious.
Of course, John does not address the issue of longstanding republican racism.
Feel free, John, to trot out more "comments" agianst Biden. They are meaningless and need to be taken in the context of the decades long vile and vicious attacks that have characterized trhe republican comments aboyut everyone and anyone that dare to disagree with them.
Keep it up, John.
"He called Obama “President Clinton,” called Romney “President Romney,” suggested the Irish drink too much, crossed himself in front of a meeting of over 1,000 conservative rabbis, and paid a visit to Florida’s “Evergators,” as he put it.
Odder still, he began raving uncontrollably during a speech for no particular reason, fulminating about how his parents “dreamed as much as any rich guy dreams.”"
Yawn.
Now we have unsubstantiated claims from an unknown person!!!!
Who was it that introduced Paul Ryan as the next president of the USA?
Good thing Yogi Berra never ran for office!!!!!
So the Republicans are upset over Biden's "gaffes"??? They had no problem 4 years ago with Sarah "Gaffe a day" Palin.
Let's get to a more important issue--does Paul Ryan worship Ayn Rand???
"John" from midtown? Hmmm....
Nothing to say about the landslide in the making? The swing state averages of polls that show Obama/Biden crushing Romney and whats-his-name? With whathisname not giving a VP pick bounce of any size?
Quick, change the subject to a shiny object! Look, SQUIRREL!!!
Your guy is losing and now John has to watch the convention nominate a flip flip moderate loser while John's preferred tea party candidate can't even speak at the convention (Palin? Cain? Rick Perry? Santorum? Bachman?)
That's gotta hurt.
But nothing like you'll feel the 2nd week of November when the Dems have the Senate still and picked up a bunch of House seats because of the Massachusetts Moderate and his flipflops. John picked a guy who can't even show his taxes to the GOP!!
What a hoot!
Here's an idea that should even the playing field:
Eliminate teleprompters for all campaigan speeches (both president and vice president). Ryan doesn't need one; Biden is a fool, when not on script. Romney will stumble, but not fall; Obama will crumble.
I thought Ryan was supposed to make this a BIG ISSUES and IDEAS campaign!
Best that John can come up with is teleprompters. Utterly hilarious! Such a BIG IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is how the next 82 days will go, a bunch of noise from the right, while Romney/Ryan slip further in the polls. Once most of the right realize it, the big money from billionaires will start shifting as they understand they need to support the obvious winner. Obama's huge lead in swing state electoral votes is the deal breaker.
Then, while in the middle of a McCain style landslide loss, the fringe will start up with Palin style noise just like in the 2008 loss, like birth certificates, teleprompters, socialism and the rest as they squirm towards defeat.
Good times.
Really good times.
Time to run up the score for the Democrats. Tie the various replublican House candidates to Ryan's extreme budget giving tax breaks toi the wealthy while destroying Medicare, forced vaginal ultrasounds on women, outlawing birth control, etc.. What do you do when you're in a a game and have the obvious to everyone lead?
Time to run up the score.
John = Gary = Jerry etc...
Pretty soon he will start on his crush, how Raygun saved the world thru 12 tax hikes on the middle class.
VERY TELLING COMMENT: John/Gary admits the big Obama lead by saying he is looking for something to "even the playing field"
Nice to know that even with tea bag blinders on, even Gary knows his 5th choice candidate is getting trounced in the electoral vote count in the swing states.
Palin beat Biden in their debate; Ryan will crush him...no contest.
Biden is emotionally unstable. He should not be next in line to take over the presidency.
Gary says Joe Biden, that's why we have Vice President Palin.
Stick with the big issues, John.
She's been totally stable since 2008, quitting her job, renouncing her vows to her supporters, running out of state, raising a reality show family with an unwed teenage mother, etc..
Big issues, Gary.
The Obama ticket would be stronger with a Barack/Hillary ticket, after all there would be one intelligent part of that ticket.
Biden is an embarrassment. Obama is scripted by his handlers. Hillary is smart, and has her (and Bill's) agenda, although she may prefer to avoid the pending Obama disaster...after all, she doesn't like him.
Obama/Biden is beating the pants off of Romney/Ryan in all the composite polls, especially the vital battleground states.
The conservative posters here seem to think Obama needs a change, golly, so thoughtful of them!
Truly the silly season.
Perhaps the conservatives should look for a new nominee. Why on earth would they stick with a known loser?
Romney failed as a governor - had to run away rather than face a reelection loss. Have they looked at the battleground polls? Why would they confirm a sure fire losing ticket? Now they have Ryan, which will drag down every Republican in a competitive House of Reps seat!
I suggest they replace RR with Christie/Thune. That ticket can at least manage to make a credible race.
Romney is toast. Obama wins by 80 plus electoral votes. The GOP goes into internal war: corporate wing vs evangelicals vs tea party vs million dollar contributors vs beltway insiders vs libertarians.
We'll save Hillary for 2016, where she'll beat Jeb. But thanks for the concern!!
"I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. ... I mean, this guy just isn’t bright."
C'mon, don't keep us in suspense. Was Rudy talking about Calvin Coolidge, Richard Nixon, Spiro Agnew, or Dan Quayle?
You (DQ) say Potatoe, I say Potato
How about Ryan's tax return release problem? Not posting a $1 million - $5 million trust fund on his financial disclosure? Web Link
Then Mitt has the nerve to come out and say that the 63% of Americans who want to see Mitt's return are "small minded" ("I find to be very small-minded...")
Dude, you want to be the President and think I'm small minded because I want to vet the nominee the way he vets his Veep choice? Or the way Mitt was vetted by McCain with 23 years of returns.
Small Minded? Mitt, met John and his teleprompter issue!
Biden voted agaisnt going to war against Saddam. That shows how stupid he is.
We certainly hope that "crazy uncle" Joe Biden stays on the ticket.
We look forward to the VP debates with no teleprompters
even Bidens own aids are telling him to "shut up" on video today from MSNBC
LOL
Biden was right to vote no on Iraq war. By removing Saddam as a threat to Iran, that move paved the way for Iran to try to become a bigger and more malign regional power.
Biden will stay on the ticket. End of story.
Only posters to use derogatory words like "stupid: etc... are the cons.
Clearly Hillary declined the job of VP this time-wise move
For Independents and Swing voters the issues are Obamas record on
1/ Jobs-we now have 8.3%+ unemployment
2/ The National Debt-it is off the charts
3/ The Economy-GDP growth is now a dismal 1.3%-
-Three years into our forced marriage with GM, the American taxpayers have seen the value of their investment in GM deteriorate by approximately $24 billion and it is getting much worse
Romney says " it is the economy-and we aint stupid" Romney has the competence to turn around our US economy.
Bidens plagiarisms and dog whistling about race and class warfare a disturbing-but trivial- side show
>Biden was right to vote no on Iraq war
VoxPop, try to do your your history check. Biden opposed the war agaisnt Saddam, when he invaded Kuwait, and Bush kicked his ass out of there. However, Biden supported the Iraq invasion, to eliminate Saddam, until the going got tough, and he jumped overboard...and opposed the surge by Bush Jr., which worked.
Biden is a fool. Worse, he is emotionally unstable. A real potential danger as a possible replacement president. We all deserve better than Biden.
You know how sometimes you are walking down the street and you come upon a scruffily dressed individual, who is ranting and raving about one subject or another--the online version of that person is Sharon/John--in thread after thread they regurgitate the same stuff--no proof for their specious claims. Just ranting about the same thing over and over--like the poor delusional person on the street. Most people on the street ignore these individuals and what they have to say--probably good advice for the online people as well.,
I don't get why the team that is ahead in the electoral college voting would want to make a change, especially when the losing. RomneyRyan team won't even try to talk about issues like their budget plan or taxes.
Shouldn't a loser be thinking about replacing their team when the polls show them to be losers?
Republicans should pick Chris Christie and Mitch Daniels.
Romney has been a loser for the last ten years running for president. Drop him. The tax return thing makes him unelectable.
>the online version of that person is Sharon/John--in thread after thread they regurgitate the same stuff--no proof for their specious claims
I can only speak for myself - tell me one example of factual errors that I have made in this thread.
The real ranter is Biden, himself. He is unglued. Who would feel comfortable with Biden as president?
John rants:
"I can only speak for myself - tell me one example of factual errors that I have made in this thread."
Here are multiple examples:
1)"Odder still, he began raving uncontrollably during a speech for no particular reason, fulminating about how his parents “dreamed as much as any rich guy dreams.”"
An unsubstantiated quotation from a third party who does not provide any proof either
2)"Biden voted agaisnt going to war against Saddam. That shows how stupid he is."
First of all we all know that the war against Saddam was misguided since he had no part in 9/11. Also the fact that Biden voted against it does not mean he is stupid
3)"Biden is an embarrassment. Obama is scripted by his handlers. Hillary is smart, and has her (and Bill's) agenda, although she may prefer to avoid the pending Obama disaster...after all, she doesn't like him."
3 factual errors in the above quote (do not confuse opinion with facts--which John does not present)--the one about Biden, the one about Obama and the one about Hillary. Three strikes and you are out
4) "Biden is emotionally unstable"
Again another opinion not a fact
(But Palin is emotionally stable?????)
5)"Palin beat Biden in their debate"
Web Link
Ignore the guy ranting and raving--John has proved that again.
>First of all we all know that the war against Saddam was misguided since he had no part in 9/11. Also the fact that Biden voted against it does not mean he is stupid
If you want to argue facts, it is best get your facts straight. Biden voted FOR invading Iraq. He voted AGAINST using force to evict Saddam from Kuwait.
I could have added Biden's plagiarism and exaggerated academic record in law school. Don't forget the two brain aneurysms that he had.
"If you want to argue facts, it is best get your facts straight. Biden voted FOR invading Iraq. He voted AGAINST using force to evict Saddam from Kuwait."
Very amusing, John. You demanding that someone else "get their facts straight".
I admit I made a mistake with my Biden comment.
Note that John does not address the other factual errors that I called him on. Also note that John claimed that he has made NO factual errors in his posts on this thread!!!!
"I could have added Biden's plagiarism and exaggerated academic record in law school. Don't forget the two brain aneurysms that he had."
You just did. But that does not mean that it is/was a fact.
As for his two brain aneurysms--what is the point of bringing that up?
Shall we comb through Ryan's and Mitt's health records??
Let's address the important issues:
Mitt's refusal to disclose his tax records and Ryan's worship of Ayn Rand.
>I admit I made a mistake with my Biden comment.
Yes, you did, and it was a big one, considering the judgement issues in play by Biden. However, you are now educated on that important issue.
I put quotes around all of my comments from outside reporters and columnists. These quoted comments are factual quotes. It is easy to look them up on Google.
Biden's brain injuries are very important, especially since he acts unhinged at times. His plagiarism is an indication of an inferiority complex, with compensation. Neil Kinnock was the real deal; Biden is not.
According to the published reports, today, Hillary was being pushed by Bill to go after the VP position, but she needed a rest. If she was eager for it, Obama's Chicago handlers would have made it happen. It would have strengthened Obama's ticket. Since I am supporting the Romney/Ryan ticket, I am quite happy that Biden is still on the ticket. Hillary would have been a tougher opponent, for a variety of reasons, including that she is much smarter than Biden.
John continues to pass off his fantasies, unproven claims and bogus charges as facts. Why doesn't he admit tHat he is wrong, especially when he supported palin. Links to published reorts on Hillary? Do not ex,pect to see any. Ignore John/Gary
I don't get why the Obama/Biden team that is ahead in the electoral college voting would want to make a change, especially when the losing Romney/Ryan team won't even try to talk about issues like their budget plan or taxes.
Shouldn't the losing side -- the republicans -- be thinking about replacing their team when the polls show them to be losers?
Republicans should pick Chris Christie and Mitch Daniels.
Romney has been a loser for the last ten years running for president. Drop him. The tax return thing makes him unelectable.
