Spare the Air alert issued for today

Temperatures are expected to approach 100 degrees in inland parts of the Bay Area this week, according to the National Weather Service. A Spare the Air advisory has been issued for the Bay Area today, Aug. 9.

Is this alert related to the Chevron fire? Chevron should pay for free public transit around the Bay Area for a month to make up for their pollution episode.
