Is there a fire in southern Palo Alto this afternoon? We went for a walk near El Carmelo Elementary School and had to turn around because the air was so smokey.

Thankfully, school was closed today so the kids weren't exposed. Do schools have a safety protocol to keep kids indoors if something like this happens on a school day?
