Mechanical problem causing Caltrain delays this morning

Original post made by Tyler Hanley, digital editor of Palo Alto Online, on May 24, 2011

Caltrain is reporting delays of up to 20 minutes caused by a train with a mechanical problem. Southbound train No. 312, an express train that left San Francisco at 6:59 a.m., was taken out of service and is stopped at the Millbrae station, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said around 8 a.m. About 500 passengers were transferred from that train to another southbound train. Riders should expect delays of 10 to 20 minutes in both directions, Dunn said.
