Sharon,

Who are you?

Terrorist Latin drug gangs? How many times can you use the word terrorist? Terrorism is to this era what communism was to the 50-60s...

In any event, while it may be true that this is drug related there is nothing mentioned in the article that confirms this so don't jump to conclusions.

I can tell you, as a relative of the family, that drugs were certainly not involved. It is wrong to jump to that conclusion.

I think it's really sad that a boy that is only 20 has to go, no one deserves to day at such a young age. I had friends died in my hands due to shootings. The most sad part of all of this, is that cops dont do anything to prevent this situations. And as for the lady who is concern bout aka "TERRORIST"its really stupid to say something if she doesnt know what really happen.

This is America, not a police state, its not up to the cops to nanny the public. We need to stop this nonsense. With freedom comes responsibility and with responsibility comes consequences. We should round up all these trouble makers and send them to China, see how much they miss out on living in America, they might appreciate it.

All EPA has to do is murder another person and they will have outdone last year's stats. Congratulations, ungrateful citizens.

Ungrateful for what, Disgusted? Really easy for you to sit in judgement of something you know little about. Who do you think are ungrateful? Most of us work hard, take care of our families, go about our business. Most of us aren't thugging it up, committing criminal acts or causing problems. Quit using your sweeping brush to paint the same portrait of us all. We're all different from each other and more similar to you than you admit, all at the same time.

I have known Gabriel since he was an infant. He comes from a close family who adore him. He was one of the most gentle and loving young men I have ever known. Gabriel was not a fighter, nor was he involved in drugs. He was the victim of a terrible crime. His death is a tragedy.

My heart goes out to Gabriel's family. Any of us here with sons and daughters fear that moment when you hear something has gone wrong....My heart goes out to Tim's family as well. Both 20 and both gone. Tragic accidents both. [Portion removed by Palo Alto Online staff.]

i am a sister of gabriel an to read some of this nonsense people are writing its just dispicable. to those who think gabe was in a gang or in drugs who are you people judge a person you dont even know!! gaberiel was never in drugs nore was he in gangs he was a wouderful brother an to speak for my mother in law he was a wouderfull child as well he had dreams like everyone else just because h e lived in east palo alot doesnt give you the right to think that he was in gangs or drugs! for that person talking about cops! we are not asking for them to nanny! we are sking them to try more in solving the murders! we dont even get phone calls from the detective we call them an leave messeges an after a few weeks we get a call from them all they have a suspects an its been four months all we ask to be there more for those families that lost a loved one not make appt an not show up... so for that person that person that says its america we know that all we ask is for justice to be served to catch those people because gabriel didnt deserve this!! rest in paradise gabriel arreguin we will always love you your sister karla

Holidays are here and we are still empty not knowing who murdered our loved one these times are hard for us not having Gabriel around that person who murdered Gabriel is still sitting at home or where Ever he is while sit and hope/ wish east palo alto police/detectives spend there time at 7/11 eating an drinking and not doing there job! It's horrible to see our hard earned money being taken out of earnings for officers that don't care!! Gabe we will always and forever miss you!

we R statistics: east palo alto police don't do shit but harass the wrong people in the city they are supposed to be protecting. would be nice if the pigs were re-trained to serve and protect. to smile and protect its citizens and not stereotype, harass and mean mug its citizens. they seem to always be mad. seems like we (east palo alto) get all the left overs and pissed off cops that hate their jobs.
let alone, the fuckin cop that should have guided the car that was taking Gabe to the hospital instead of pulling them over and waiting for a fucking ambulance to arrive. way to go dumb fuck!
