Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, D-Palo Alto, visited the site of the plane crash in East Palo Alto and was later briefed on the investigation by local and federal officials involved.

She issued a statement expressing condolences to families, sympathies to Tesla Motors on the loss of its three employees, and praise for the emergency responders.

Her statement:

“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of three brilliant and beloved Tesla workers in yesterday’s plane crash. I join all of my constituents and colleagues in expressing our deepest condolences to their coworkers, friends and families.

“I pay tribute to all of the first responders who risked their lives to help my constituents in need. Specifically, I want to acknowledge the leadership of East Palo Alto Chief of Police Ron Davis the teams from San Mateo County and Santa Clara County as well as the Red Cross for their assistance.

“I also thank PG&E and the City of Palo Alto for responding to our urgent requests to restore power throughout the City of Palo Alto especially for our local hospitals and urgent care facilities that require power in order to sustain life.

“As I visited the neighborhood and met with my constituents and officials, I learned first hand what each neighbor did for their neighbor to save lives on the ground under extreme duress. It is nothing short of a miracle that no lives were lost on the ground.”

  1. If she didn’t show up, then the whiners would complain that she didn’t care. Personally, I am glad that she is showing her emotional support for the victims. And her first hand experience should help her decide if changes are needed to minimize the risk of future tragedies like this.

  2. No wonder they call her Anna “Bless-you”. That was an Academy Award acting job, as if you really care.

Another political con-artist. If you believe her I have an orange bridge I would like to sell you, just a little north of here.
