rash of bicycle thefts in Palo Alto??

Mercury-News says 10 bicycles were stolen in Palo Alto on Monday alone. Is this part of some crime spree?

PALO ALTO

1100 block of Amarillo Avenue, 8:35 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Monday Two bikes were reported stolen.

3600 block of Ramona Circle, 8:46 a.m. Monday Two bikes were reported stolen.

300 block of Everett Avenue, 9:42 a.m. Monday Two bikes were reported stolen.

200 block of Edlee Avenue, 4:05 to 4:34 p.m. Monday Four bikes were reported stolen.
