Was in my coffee house 2nd home last week and met a 'successful' business owner. He sat next to me as I was pounding on my Mac and said something like ; see those fringes on that girls jeans?
I made those.
If you look around you will see dozens of 'additions' to clothes my company makes. Hi I'm ... from South Carolina.
wow. I never knew a company did that - made the extras for clothes - how does that work?
Well we get big contracts from Companies like Nike etc. to make some little addition they can sell with their product. Often - in my travels I see something that might work and tell a company it would make a good addition to their product line. It's a huge business.

Do you have a big factory?

Oh yes. But not here - used to be here but we couldn't compete so it's done in India now. I just got back. It's great. We have the workers living at the plant - girls and boys separated of course. 40 on one side 40 on the other. The workers only charge 50 cents a day, we don't need to pay health insurance and there is no workmans compensation. If a worker looses an arm the manager wraps it up, hands it to him and asks if they have a brother ot sister that can take their place. Also - in the process of creating our cute additions we use a caustic chemical. Here we would have to pay $60. dollars a gallon to have it disposed of. There they just take it to the sewer system and pour it in.

We get low prices because of our great connection with India.

Hey - see that print on the jeans over there? Could you make that and sell it to jean manufacturers?

Sure - we can do anything.

Well - got to go - have to call in with my new ideas. Bye. nice talking with you.

Who are we to criticize the culture and customs o other peoples. All cultures are equally valid, aren't they?
